Blueberry Nut Oatmeal

Preparation Time: 8 minutes

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups (438 mL) water
1 cup (80 g) old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup (110 g) grated apple
2 tablespoons currants (optional)
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
1 cup (148 g) fresh or frozen blueberries
6 pecan halves, chopped

Instructions: In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in all ingredients, except blueberries and pecans. Turn heat down and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in blueberries and pecans. Remove from heat and cover for 2-3 minutes before serving.
