Christine B: Ate Right for Two

For over five years, I have been a big believer in this philosophy of nutrition. The Nutritarian lifestyle is just that—a lifestyle, not a diet. Although following it seemed radical in our fast food culture, my husband and I quickly saw the health benefits.

As a new mother it became even more important during the pregnancy, and nursing, to follow a high-nutrient program even further. We have overhauled our diets to gain maximum nutrition through the foods we eat. As a result I returned to my pre-pregnancy weight of 110 pounds (50 kg) within in a few months. It has been rewarding to see our daughter, Katie, thrive using the same plan. Some of the areas we have focused on have been my diet through the pregnancy, nursing, and now Katie's diet as we now use a baby mill to prepare her food. She has enjoyed the diet just as we have.

Knowing which foods are harmful and which are nutritious, and learning about supplementation, has opened a whole new world of health to our family. It has been a fun journey of discovery re-learning good eating habits. Our healthy habits have given me my health back and have given Katie a great start to life! I think the “Eat For Health” books are a must read for all new mothers!
