Roger Y: Found New Life Down Under

I live in Australia. About a year ago, I was searching the web and came across a reference to “Eat For Health,” bought a copy and have experienced improvements in my overall health by following the Nutritarian lifestyle.

After 2 months of eating a high-nutrient diet, my general practitioner greeted me with my blood tests in hand and said, "What have you been doing?" He reported that my cholesterol level had lowered from 5.9 mmol/1 to 3.6 mmol/1, my blood pressure was reduced from 150/90 to 120/70, and my liver function values were all lowered to normal levels. I have discontinued taking Avapro for my high blood pressure. My blood pressure has stablized at 120/70. I have reduced my cholesterol medication (Pravachol) to 40 mg. My cholesterol level has stablized to 4.1 (HDL 1.12, LDL 2.4).

I no longer suffer from sleep apnea. My plantar fasciitis is gone; as is the ankle stiffness I suffered from each morning. I have lost 20 kg (44 lbs) and I feel much better. I am 57 years old. I run a manufacturing business in Melbourne and walk to and from work, 4.4 km each day. I am proud to share that I just completed an arduous 3-day bushwalk in the wilds of Tasmania with my two sons with no physical problems.

Just a little feedback from Down Under!
