I'm excited. I've lost 1 kilo my first week. I've loved the food. I especially love homemade hummus made with blackbeans and avocado in addition to the chickpeas, onion, garlic and lemon juice. I spread it on whole grain toast and sprinkle with a mix of chile pepper, garlic and onion seasonings. YUM!
I was distraught to see several of my favorite foods on the 10 worst list, so I have had very little cheese, butter and no potato chips this week. And I have only had 1 bite of a chocolate covered donut. That's it! How have I managed without sweets? Guess the fruit salads have satisfied me.
I was encouraged by the survey that I ate better than most Americans because I ate more veggies and mostly whole grains but the wake up call came when I discovered I am a 1.4 on a scale of 10 as far as my health is concerned because of my weight. Thanks, I needed the truth and it really made something click in me that I've been praying would change for a long time.
I was sick this week so didn't do the exercises although I got a few walks in and will get back to my daily walks. Next step..try the exercise program. Go for it girl!
