Ok, so this is the end of week two and I weighed in. I was pretty disappointed, I only lost 2 pounds this week, but I guess it’s better than nothing. I think I’m doing pretty well sticking to the program. I had one day this week where I had non stop cravings for sweets and carbs. I ate a ton of fruit to get through the day, that seemed to work ok. Then I broke down and had a small handful of pita chips, that were not whole wheat. Yikes! I felt pretty guilty after. Luckily I only had the cravings one day and was back to normal the next day.
Another problem I am facing is keeping up with all the foods I am supposed to get in, in a day, particularly cooked greens. I have been so busy; I’ve mainly been eating raw veggies because I don’t have the time to cook. There were a couple days I didn’t eat my serving of nuts, and didn’t get all my fruit in.
Over all I am still feeling great. I am sleeping so much better at night; I used to wake up between 3 and 5 times a night. Now I only wake up unless I forget to feed the cat, and he comes and lies on my face for food. I also haven’t needed to take an afternoon nap once! Most days I would have to take a 20 min nap just to get through the evening and get stuff done. I’ve also been very good with taking my DHA everyday, I also noticed I have been a little less stressed at work, even though it’s been getting much busier.
Along with getting better sleep, I have noticed an improvement in my anxiety. I have not had a midnight panic attack in a week!
