food trials & tribulations

I'am having a tough time getting back on track.  Food seems to be my best friend right now.
I need to get motivated again.  My exercise program is shot to hell.  HELP!
I will not give up, even though I'm struggling.  If anyone has any advise or tips to get
going, please let me know.

my first week

I'm excited.  I've lost 1 kilo my first week.  I've loved the food.  I especially love homemade hummus made with blackbeans and avocado in addition to the chickpeas, onion, garlic and lemon juice.  I spread it on whole grain toast and sprinkle with a mix of chile pepper, garlic and onion seasonings.  YUM!

Eating more for less actually works

I've been doing the ERA plan for several weeks now.  I weigh myself weekly and I've gotten to the point where I can almost predict whether and/or how much weight will be lost.  During the week, if I've gone awhile between meals and my stomach feels kind of bloated I've learned to interpret that as UNDEREATING, crazy as it sounds.  If it happens a few times during that week, I know I probably haven't lost anything that week.  During times where I've eaten more (heavy on the beans & greens)I interpret the solid but kind of lean feeling I get to mean I am on track to lo

I've been a good girl

i've been on track since the Florida immersion program. i haven't slipped up at all. IN FACT, yesterday i attended the bakery metro meeting with our bakery specialist and they put in front of me: 5 new cakes and 1 new tart to sample. then they gave us to take home- full size samples of: chocolate easter bunny (solid), new candy bar, divvies kettle corn, 4 kinds of divvies new cookies, european garlic butter tub. they also gave us free lunch which wasn't on plan so i ran to WFM next door and got a salad.

Embracing Success:

Well I have been a meat eater for most of my life.  Now I am easing into becoming a nutritarian.  I hope that the cravings for bad food will naturally fall away.  It would be a miracle.  I am going to embrace this lifestyle - I need it for my health and well-being.  I know I can do this!  I already see myself WHOLE!

Magical, Mythical Protein?

The question most frequently asked by friends or family members about the Nutritarian diet is “How do you get enough protein, without eating lots of animal products?”

Keeping Weight Off

By Jeff Novick, M.S., R.D., L.D., L.N.

According to a new study by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, people who lose weight are more likely to keep the weight off permanently if they eat a diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, with smaller portions of lean meat, poultry, and seafood (It should be noted that in addition to helping people keep the extra weight off, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are also the most healthful foods).
